The Australian Wood - Resin Infused Handle

The Australian Wood - Resin Infused Handle

Posted by Ramon Elzinga on

Whilst Shannon and I talk more about steel than wood the handles seems to be one of the main reasons our customers keep coming back to our shed.

Our wood is usually collected in around McLaren Vale, South Australia and working with a couple of local arborists we now have accumulated a list of potential woods approaching 100 different options - just in South Australia.

By stirring different colours the options of resin (used to fortify the handle) is also endless. The wonder of local wood and a little resin stirring is that no knife handle can ever be the same as the last.
