How

We use two main sources to marry an exquisite blade with a handle that matches it's holder.

Our blades use Japanese steel and design. The blade core has higher carbon to add to it's strength with an outer layer of stainless steel to minimize corrosion. Most knives have 67 layers with a Damascus finish (mainly because it looks nice - performance wise it's about the same).

Our handles are crafted in South Australia using types of wood garnered from the two largest wine regions - McLaren Value and the Barossa Valley. Once trees are cut down we segment the wood into rectangular planks and remove most of the moisture. Once dried out we fortify the wood and plug the holes and gaps with coloured resin.

Before we insert the handle on the chosen blade and polish the handle we have no idea what the knife will look like. That's half the battle and half the fun - every knife is different!
