13 Knife Set | "Big Red" Kit

More Knives than you'll ever need - the 13 piece Australian Knife Set.

The set includes: The Big Red (Chef's knife), The Joey (Petty Knife"), The Croc (Serrated/Bread Knife), The Wombat (a bestial chopper), The Dingo (a delightful yet powerful All-Purpose), and The Koala (when intricacy is needed). We have recently added the Wallaby (mid sized Chef's knife).

When you move outside you can use the BBQ knives - The Kookaburra (Paring Knife), The Barramundi (Fillet knife), The Great White (All Purpose BBQ Chopper),  The Tassie Devil (Boning Knife), The Platypus (vegetable chopper), and last of all The Brolga (the Cimeter). It's a complete collection.

*Please Note: Handles are made using Australian wood burl (roots) so each knife is unique. The images attached are for guiding purposes, so wood grain and resin will vary between individual knives (not the same as the one in the picture).

Description

VG10 high carbon Japanese steel construction with sandblast finish.

The high carbon content core ensures a razor-sharp cutting edge, clad with stainless steel for protection. Sandblasting the top section of the blade seemed fitting for an Australian knife. From the beaches in Bondi to the dunes on Birdsville, we stand on a sandy country. Practically, this creates a non-stick surface to help glide through vegetables without sticking.

Our wood handles are sourced from the length and breadth of Australia. We fossick for intriguing and symbolic woods for our handles such as Gidgee from the Simpson Desert which we think pays great homage to the Australian 'Big Red' outback.

All Koi Knives products are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship during the period of one year from the original date of purchase by the end user. 

Should a manufacturing defect arise within the warranty period, We will repair
or replace the knife at our discretion without charge.

Please note: This warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper use or care, accidents, modification, commercial use, neglect, or regular wear and tear over time. We are not responsible for knives that have been damaged from misuse such as dropping, improper cleaning methods (like putting the knife through a dishwasher), or excessive force.

Please note: We recommend washing blades by hand using warm soapy water and drying them straight away or in any way that does not have water pooling on the blade.

Handles can be oiled using a natural oil such as a Camelia oil.

We ship orders on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Orders within Australia should arrive within a week.

International orders can take between 1-4 weeks to arrive.
