Chopping a cabbage

Courtesy of my neighbour (who taught me some salads) I have fallen in love with the cabbage - both white and purple. So today I decided to take home a blade to butcher it.

Despite the size of the vegetable I don't find using ultra long knives very easy (because you find them getting stuck half way down the whole cabbage). I prefer heft and power. So for today this chap (the wombat) will put the peddle to the metal...
