The background of the Koi Team is a little confusing.
Shannon's father is a blacksmith and has owned a spring business for more than three decades - Shannon has been playing with steel since he was a kid.
Ramon's mum and dad met in Japan (Kyoto) before setting up their tent in the Adelaide Hills. The love for Japanese things has never left - so Ramon has been Japan obsessed since he could walk.
Together they make knives that are a fusion of their history. Most knives are made using Australian wood and Japanese Handles. Every knife is different. Most importantly - they love what they do!
Shannon and Ramon lived their youth in the Adelaide Hills - Shannon and his family remain in the hills and Ramon has moved to Colonel Light Gardens.
