Knife Sharpening Classes are for people to:
- Learn a new skill
- Receive hands-on training with whetstones
- Get tips and secret know-how from a master sharpener
Below you can purchase seats for upcoming sessions. Each ticket includes a set of 3 Koi Knives Whetstones for you to use during the class and take home afterwards. Each class is structured as follows:
1. An overview of knife sharpening and the types of tools needed for success
2. A short demonstration of knife sharpening from our resident Sharpening Guru, Joao Sundfeld.
3. A guided sharpening class led by Joao, where you sharpen one of your favourite knives from home. The class runs for 1 hour and you will learn all the fundamentals to putting a fresh edge on your knife.
* All tickets need to be signed before allowing entry. This is an adults only event.
Classes are held at our store at 330 Goodwood Road, Clarence Park - parking is available on George Street.

We have the right to refuse admission to the sharpening class if we believe you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The safety of other participants and our staff is paramount. - Participants under the age of 18 may attend if supervised by a parent or legal guardian.
Due to the technical nature of the class, current South Australian Government legislature regarding knife sales to minors, and safety concerns, we will not accept bookings for people under 16 years of age. Participants under 18 will need to be supervised by a parent or guardian. Supervision is not participation. If wanting to participate in class, please book an additional place.
Conditions apply - e.g. TAFE students and apprentices. - Abusive and unsafe behaviour during classes will not be tolerated.
If this occurs, the class will finish and the offending participant will be asked to leave the premises and the police will be called if necessary. Offending participant will not be entitled to a refund or welcome back to the store - class will be rescheduled for other participants. - We require payment before attending class to confirm your place.
If we do not receive payment before the class date we cannot guarantee there will be a place for you. We reserve the right to prioritise paying customers. Conditions apply - e.g. rescheduled classes, illnesses, etc. - Classes will begin at the scheduled time.
If you cannot attend the class on time, please contact the store as soon as possible. We have the right to refuse participation to those who are more than 10 minutes late and who have not contacted us. This will be deemed as a no-show and will not be entitled to a refund. Conditions apply. -

We are a small team and if one of us gets sick, we all nearly always all get sick.
We produce durable, high-quality knives and products for both culinary and utility use.
We stand behind the craftsmanship of our knives with this limited warranty.
All Koi Knives products are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship during the period of one year from the original date of purchase by the end user.
Should a manufacturing defect arise within the warranty period, We will repair
or replace the knife at our discretion without charge.
Please note: This warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper use or care, accidents, modification, commercial use, neglect, or regular wear and tear over time. We are not responsible for knives that have been damaged from misuse such as dropping, improper cleaning methods (like putting the knife through a dishwasher), or excessive force.

Please note: We recommend washing blades by hand using warm soapy water and drying them straight away or in any way that does not have water pooling on the blade.
Handles can be oiled using a natural oil such as a Camellia oil.
WARNING: You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase any knives from our store or website - whether it be kitchen, outdoor, or pocket knives.
We ship orders on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Orders within Australia should arrive within a week.
International orders can take between 1-4 weeks to arrive.
Tracking information will be sent to you when your order has been sent.
Express shipping: If you are wanting your order in a hurry please add a note in with your order and we can upgrade you to express shipping for free.
