About the School
Pairing the very best in cooking and nutrition, Sprout has established themselves as the cooking school. Offering a range of classes and programs to suit kids, adults, schools and corporate events. Gather together for fun, food and adventure, led by professional chefs and qualified dietitians.
Located 10 minutes west of the Adelaide CBD, Sprout is the largest purpose-built kitchen in SA. They offer corporate and private catering, team building classes, workplace health programs, cooking demonstrations, kids cooking classes and school curriculum programs.
About the Owner
Founded by Callum Hann and Themis Chryssidis in 2011, they bring an impressive set of skills to the floor. Professional cookery, up-to-date nutrition advice, and a host of talented staff well-versed in each area, the concept for the business is all about shared passions. Although Callum may be a familiar face from television, he is an outstanding steward for local produce on and off screen, leading classes and being a dedicated food ambassador for the state. Themis is a passionate dietitian with many years experience, bringing his wealth of knowledge and professional skills to both teaching and co-authoring the Sprout cookbook. Together they have made a partnership built on quality produce, helpful advice and most importantly, fun in the kitchen.
Sprout is all about teaching the gift and joy of cooking through casual and interactive classes in their state-of-the-art facility in Hilton. The “classroom” is set up much like you would see on Masterchef; rows of fully-equipped mini kitchens arranged in front of the teacher. But don’t be concerned this will feel like returning to school, the friendly group of chefs and nutritionists keep each class fun and informative.
