Ballarat Bunka Knife

Ballarat Bunka Knife

Posted by Ramon Elzinga on

Two days ago we received our first order from our first customer in Ballarat (around 2 hours from Melbourne for those not familiar with the region).

The Ballarat order was a Bunka Knife with a Ocean Blue resin handle. We don't actually know why this was chosen as the Japanese knife of choice however for me (from the times I've been to Ballarat) it reminded me of the frosty mornings.

The Bunka knife, much like the miners that started the growth of the town of Ballarat, is hefty and tough. It is built for the heavy duty work performed in the kitchen.

So for the town founded with hard woking gold miners, the Bunka was a wonderful first knife to send to Ballarat :)
